How we review smart toilets and bidets
What we look at
- Fit – rough-in distance (10 or 12 inches), floor or wall outlet, bowl shape and seat height (including ADA comfort height).
- Flushing – tank, tankless or tank with booster pump; whether it flushes during a power outage and how.
- Bidet features – warm-water supply (instant or tank), wash modes, heated seat, dryer, deodorizer and controls.
- Utilities – the outlet, circuit and minimum water pressure the maker says you need.
- Real cost – price, shipping, installation, parts you may need, warranty length and the return window and fees.
Where our information comes from
- Manufacturers’ own product pages, specification sheets, installation manuals and policies – linked in each article’s sources.
- Our own use of a product, only when we actually have it. Articles say clearly which is which.
- Building and plumbing guidance from recognized sources for anything about electrical and plumbing requirements. Always follow local codes and use a licensed installer where the maker recommends one.
We never invent test results, photos or customer reviews.
Keeping it current
Prices change often. Every article shows when its facts were last checked, and we re-check key facts at least every 90 days.
